Sewer Authority Easement

Sewer Authority Easements (see illustration below): 
 All MLWSA customers must maintain unobstructed access to all MLWSA equipment and appurtenances located within the MLWSA maintenance easement (description follows):

  •  A 7.5’ corridor either side of the centerline of the grinder pump discharge, from the grinder pump station to the sanitary sewer connection, including grinder stop box

  • A 7.5’ radius from the center of the grinder pump station, overlapping Item #1 above, including grinder pump station and access way

  •  Full access to the grinder pump alarm panel and grinder pump disconnect 


If the Authority finds violations of such sewer easements, we will begin issuing tickets and initiating court action where necessary to restore easement access. Civil infraction violations are subject to $250.00 per day of occurrence. 

Violations Include: 

  • Parking of Vehicles, Boats, Trailers Equipment, etc. 

  • Stacking of firewood 

  • Gardens/Landscaping materials  

  • Shrubs/Trees/Flowers 

  • Sidewalks 

  • Driveways 

  • Any type of structure

  • Garbage/Recycling  Receptacles 

  • Fencing/ other types of fencing 

  • Decks/ Patios 

  • Pools
