The Multi Lake Water and Sewer Authority (MLWSA) is a Michigan municipal authority formed in 1994. The primary function of the MLWSA is to provide sanitary sewer collection services and waste water treatment for portions of four townships located in Washtenaw County and Livingston County, Michigan. The system includes the following components:

  • 0.3 MGD waste water treatment plant
  • two submersible lift stations
  • two booster stations
  • two combination vacuum/pump stations
  • 1300 grinder pump stations
  • 140 vacuum pits
  • approximately 45 miles of vacuum sewer and pressure sewer/force main.
