Final treatment notification will come from a YELLOW notice posted along the shoreline the day of treatment.
If your property does NOT get a YELLOW treatment notice:
Hamburg Township has taken great steps to keeping your local waters healthy. They have adopted an ordinance limiting the use of fertilizers. Fertilizers feed your lawn, but also feed algae and bacteria when it runs off into the lake. When fertilizers enter the lake, it can cause algae blooms.

- State of Michigan permit restrictions

- Your property is NOT impacted by herbicide treatment
- there are NO water use restriction in front of your property
- Reference the posted notice for exact water use restrictions

Site Plan Reviews
Multi Lake Water and Sewer Authority field staff are in the HALF MOON & NORTH LAKE area of our district as of 04/18/2024 conducting site plan reviews. This may require a slight disturbance (locating of stop box and/or measurement of appurtenances) of your property within our easement. All efforts will be made to restore your property back to its original state. Any questions about this work should be directed to our business office at (734) 426-9797.
